Each ClearSonic AcrylicPanel system boasts our custom, low-profile, heavy-duty 'mechanical lock' hinge. Panels undergo an extra manufacturing step, creating a 'locking groove' on their long edge. The hinge's hard 'tooth' snaps into this groove, ensuring a superior, long-lasting hold. Exceptions are the H-Channel (HCNL) and Base Channel (BASE), which attach to the smooth top and bottom of panels without bending. Our hinges run the full length of panels, providing superior sound isolation compared to competitors. The hinge's tooth locks into the groove for a better connection and longer life than friction hinges. Its low profile allows it to blend into the shield, while its flexibility enables accordion-style folding, making shipping, storage, and transport easier and allowing for a more customized shield footprint.
