The goal is to accumulate the most piety points. The game spans 8 days. Initially, players roll dice (displaying various books, abbot influence, and travel points) up to 3 times daily. Post-roll, players can keep dice, reroll one, or roll all. Most dice represent books, but there are also influence and travel dice. In the latter half, players use influence to bid for tasks. This 'roll + write' game stands out with auctions and high interaction. After 8 days, scores are tallied. As in the original, book values shift, keeping players guessing until the end.
